Richard Wadey  chose to feature Albion Saddles of Birmingham in his portfolio project, drawn by their esteemed reputation as a heritage saddle maker. Through his lens, Richard aimed to capture the harmonious blend of tradition, craftsmanship, and innovation that defines the equestrian industry. In his photographs, he beautifully depicts the intricate process behind crafting Albion Saddles’ exquisite equestrian supplies.

Nestled in the West Midlands, their small workshops serve as the birthplace of these masterpieces.  With a team of over 30 skilled craftsmen and women, each saddle is meticulously handcrafted, starting from a single sheet of leather. As it passes through the hands of specialized artisans, a unique touch is added at each stage. The culmination of over 40 hours of dedicated work yields a truly remarkable final product.
