For his latest personal project, Richard Wadey captures portraits of people immersed in their work, with each subject looking directly into the camera as life moves around them. Wadey himself spent time in a bustling kebab shop, soaking in the vibrant energy of the kitchen, before heading to the world-famous Beaverbrook Hotel in the Surrey Hills, where chefs were hard at work.
He also filmed a vet deeply focused in an operating room and visited a lively hair salon tucked away in Brighton’s back streets. Wadey was especially drawn to the unique energy of these places, highlighting the commitment and passion that often go unnoticed in the everyday rush.
