For R+V and Ogilvy’s campaign “Because Family Is What Matters Most”, photographer Jana Edisonga spent five days on location in Barcelona, creating a series of campaign images alongside the film production.

Rather than relying on polished advertising aesthetics, Jana embraces natural light, intimate framing, and an almost documentary sensibility. Backlit moments, sparks of light, soft focus, and close proximity replace carefully staged poses. Her images feel observed rather than staged, capturing the fleeting moments just before or after the actual scene unfolds.

The series moves effortlessly through the full emotional range of family life – playful and chaotic, quiet and contemplative, joyful and, at times, heavy, often all at once. It is this understated approach that gives the work its emotional resonance.
